NOVEMBER IN LISTS

You would think I'd been busy participating in NaNo considering how AWOL I've been this past month. Alas, I have not spent these past few weeks frantically attempting to write 50,000 words of a non-existent novel. Rather, I'm just failing to balance my hobbies with university and a part-time job. A story as old as time.

Sometimes, my self-destructive ability to procrastinate an extraordinary amount realllyyyyy irritates me. Because yes, I'm super busy, but aren't we all? What I wouldn't do to be one of those book bloggers who manages LIFE alongside a very regular amount of blogging! The dream lives on! One day guys. One day.

Until then, here's a list of things that made this November a pretty good one:

1) A new part-time job. This was a surprising, and rather bizarre start to the month tbh, but when the wheels of fate are turning all you can do is sit tight, and enjoy the ride!

2) New people, new friends, new experiences.

3) 'Omg I can't breathe this is how I die' kind of laughing fits. The best kind, right?!

4) BRILLIANT reading material! I really love my degree. 90% of the time :')

5) Reaching 1000 followers on Instagram!

6) Discovering the most beautiful little cafe just a 15 minute walk away from where I live! You guys, the brunch menu is to die for.

7) Seeking knowledge, and the desire to seek much more.

8) Friends who are always a phone call away, they take on the role of agony aunt, spiritual advisor, and cheerleader at a moments notice <3

And here are some of the best things I read:

1) The Moonstone by Wilkie Collins (novel)

2) The Fire Next Time by James baldwin (essay)

3) Translations by Brian Friel (play)

A pretty diverse mix right? All three of them have carved little places in my heart for themselves <3

I know a lot of you are taking part in blogmas, and I'm looking forward to all your posts! Meanwhile, I'll just try and blog at least once a week :') fingers and toes crossed for all of us!

  1. It sounds like you had lots of lovely experiences in November :) Regarding procrastination - I totally understand the feeling. I have no idea how to juggle all of the things I want to do in my life haha. I've decided to give blogging a break while I get some other things on track. I hope you can find a good routine to fit everything in :) In the mean time, I look forward to your posts whenever they turn up! Congratulations on the new job! I hope you settle in well :) I hope you're having a great December so far! xox

    1. That's the great thing about 'happy' lists, they make you realise all the great things (big and small) that did in fact happen <3 AGH thanks so much Cait! That means a lot coming from the wizard of booktography :')
